Our story
Platinum Freight Solutions started with a simple idea: a freight company that puts people, communication and care back at the centre of transport. Founders Jay Cloughley and Michael Toeke have spent decades working in fragile freight and transport.
Over that time they've gained an in-depth understanding of what customers really need: reliable service, clear communication and confidence that their freight is looked after from pick up to delivery.
In 2026 Jay and Michael took that experience and started something of their own. Platinum Freight Solutions was established with a clear vision, to become one of New Zealand's most trusted and professional freight companies, specialising in fragile freight, joinery, garage doors, imported household goods and other specialised transport. From the start, the focus has been on doing things differently: answering the phone, keeping customers informed, taking responsibility and going the extra mile to get the job done right.
